The Performist founders have used cryotherapy and fitness training together for more than three years to prepare for a variety of performance-based fitness events, from cross fit and iron man competitions to marathons. We have performed well and got better, even as we have got older. The bunny is running faster than ever, metaphorically and literally, and it’s no coincidence. Cryo helps you workout harder and recover faster
A really great workout can leave your muscles feeling tight and painful because your body repairs any micro muscle damage by releasing a large amount of metabolites into the tissue surrounding the muscle cells. That results in an inflammatory-repair response, leading to swelling and soreness.
Cryotherapy helps the body flush out any excess metabolites from the muscle tissue. It significantly decreases muscle inflammation and swelling as well as mends damaged muscles, joints, tendons and ligaments. By combining cryo with your hard workout, you’ll be able to recover more quickly and fully. Harder workout, less pain. We thought you might like that.

You know that great feeling you get after vigorous exercise? That’s due to endorphins, the morphine-like chemicals produced by the body that help diminish pain while triggering positive feelings. They’re sometimes referred to as the brain’s “feel-good” chemicals, and they are the body’s natural painkillers.

We are convinced that cryo and our performance fitness training make perfect bedfellows (so to speak). The cryo helps you recover better, work hard and reportedly burns the same calories as a Big Mac and hamburger combined. It mixes perfectly either before or after a fitness training session and we believe that doing both together will optimize your performance training.
